Hector Thomas “ Tinky” Navasero is presently the Chairman and CEO of LabX Corporation and was Founder and Former CEO of Philippines’ first listed healthcare holding company DNA Holdings Corp. (DNA:PM) on the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE). The company’s mission is to aid in solving universal healthcare in the Philippines through its acquisitions and investments in companies that provide solutions to providing access to affordable and accurate healthcare. Investment areas include pharmaceuticals, genetics, diagnostics, outpatient facilities, Telemedicine and hospital information systems.
He is an Ironman triathlete where he recently tested if genetics plays an important role in the sport . A visiting lecturer at the Kenan Flager Business School at UNC and at the LogTech Defense Institute at Chapel Hill. He was a member of the Young Presidents Organization, Baseball Federation of Asia, trustee, Member of Troop 1 and past executive director of the Boy Scouts, an FAA licensed fixed and rotor wing pilot, Red Cross First Responder, Kendoka Sho-Dan and cellist. He is not yet a senior citizen, but will step down from his Chief Executive role in DNA Holdings Corp. in 2019.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological & Environmental Engineering Agriculture & Life Sciences, Cornell University, and Bachelor of Science and Masters in Engineering in Electrical & Computer Engineering Minor in Biomedical Engineering from Cornell University.
